This project was designed in keeping with the look and feel of this beautiful 1930Ís colonial house. The constraints were multiple including a tight budget and numerous functional activities in close proximity. The kitchen extension, television room, mud room and home office all required a view of the kitchen, so that parents could observe children in this location. The architect created a number of solutions, one which convinced the clients to situate a mud room away from the nexus of activity, freeing up much needed space.
