This project allowed for a guest suite/office to take the place of what had previously just been a storage loft. Installation of a 10-0 dormer to increase the headroom and accessibility of the space allowed for the creation of a space in which to build a library. In order to keep the scale of the dormer in keeping with the rest of the house, the use of an arched top window and arched top shutters were adapted. The exterior facade was designed to create that sense that this third floor addition was original to the house.
